FUTURE PROSPECTS

Real estate agents should set realistic goals for the number of contacts, leads and personal appointments. Experts recommend that they make five contacts per day, which translates into 25 contacts per week. They also should develop one lead per day, equaling five per week. As for appointments, they should strive for one per week. At this rate, in the course of one year, agents would make 1,250 contacts, develop 250 leads and handle 50 appointments. Once they see improvement in their prospecting skills, experts encourage agents to boost their goals.
